Exploration of Gem Cave began in 2023, and it is already one of the longest caves in the Black Hills! Strong airflow indicates that much more will be found.

Cavers must travel for several hours through very tight passages to reach the current end of exploration.

Large passages and incredible formations are found at the end of Gem Cave, and many unexplored passages remain!
