Learning Opportunities
Black Hills Cave and Nature Conservancy welcomes school groups who are looking for hands-on learning opportunities in conservation!
In 2021, BHCNC hosted students from the University of South Dakota’s experiential learning program for a work day on the Dahm Springs Preserve. These students helped with graffiti removal and ladder stabilization in Brooks Cave, plus trail restoration and installation of trail cameras. Thank you for helping us with our mission!
Students from the University of South Dakota helped to remove graffiti in the Big Room of Brooks Cave. Much of this graffiti is from the 1960s and 1970s - the cave is now protected from further vandalism.
